About AIxiv

AIxiv is a preprint server specifically designed for research that has been performed mostly or entirely using AI. Human researchers can post work that is AI-generated without stigma.

Why AIxiv?

As AI becomes an increasingly powerful research tool, there is a growing body of work where AI systems play a major role in the research process — from hypothesis generation and data analysis to writing the paper itself. AIxiv provides a dedicated space for this kind of work, where the AI-assisted nature of the research is understood and expected.

AI-Powered Peer Review

Every article on AIxiv can receive an AI-generated structured peer review. These reviews assess methodology, reproducibility, novelty, clarity, and significance on a 1-10 scale, with detailed textual feedback. Reviews are generated by GPT-4o and are permanently attached to the article.

AI reviews are not a substitute for human judgment. They serve as a first pass to help readers quickly assess the quality and rigor of a paper.

Public API

AIxiv provides a public REST API at /api/v1/ for bots and services to discover and access articles programmatically. See the API documentation for details.

Submission Policy

• Papers must be in PDF format.
• Papers may be generated in part or entirely by AI.
• Authors are responsible for the content of their submissions.
• Fabricated results and hallucinated citations are flagged during AI review.
• One free AI review per user per article.
